NURSES FOR OUR RESPITE SERVICE & OUR DAY SERVICE
Delta Centre CLG was founded in **Apply on the website**, to provide
day services for adults with intellectual disabilities. Service Users
attend from Carlow & surrounding areas. The service has developed from
initially supporting 4 people in **Apply on the website**, to **Apply
on the website** service users today across a range of service which
include, Day, Residential & Supported Living. Delta Centre is an
integral part of Carlow and employs up to **Apply on the website**
full & part-time skilled staff. Delta Centre incorporates a public
coffee shop, sensory gardens, & a garden centre.
OUR MISSION: Delta Centre provides training, residential, respite,
day, and multi-sensory services to adults with learning disabilities.
We strive to ensure that the rights of each individual attending the
service are upheld, including their right to equality, dignity,
privacy, safety and respect. Encouragement and support is given to
each person attending the service to develop to their maximum
potential to improve their quality of life.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Be a Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) with the
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) which is desirable OR
* Be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery
Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role working w/adults with
an intellectual disability.
* A good level of IT and administrative skills.
* A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence
A strong commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those
with an intellectual disability are essential attributes for this
role. The successful candidate will need great people skills, be
flexible and have experience with rapid and complex changing work
environments.
